I have been with the Franklin Veterinary Clinic since October of 2002. When Dr. Taylor approached me to join the staff at the clinic I was extremely excited. I knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I have always had an infinite love of animals and their welfare. Having worked in retail for 18 years, I was ready to move on to something new. The opportunity to combine my love of animals and to work with them to ensure their health and safety was a perfect fit. The knowledge I have gained from this experience has been priceless — various techniques of holds/restraints of animals, ordering prescription diet foods and products, processing blood work tests in-house, as well as making sure the clinic is clean and welcoming to the client.
My free time is spent with my four legged children. I have 2 indoor cats, brother and sister, Jack and Nel and my new faithful companion, my Golden rescue, Jacob Riley, 1 year old. I am an avid snow shoer and love to hike. If Tay May like to do it, I like to do it! I can’t imagine my life without them in it. There is nothing more enjoyable than sitting on the top of a mountain with them and just taking in everything around you.
I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have a job that I truly enjoy. Some days are harder than others, having been here for more than 8 years, one tends to get to know people and their pets pretty well. If I can make a difference in the life of an animal every day, I’ve done my job.
